Mayor Robertson proclaims Mental Health Week May 4-10, 2009

On May 05th, David MacIntyre, Executive Director of MPA Society and Rebecca Shields, Executive Director of CMHA – Vancouver Burnaby Branch, attended a ceremony at Vancouver City Hall, where Mayor Gregor Robertson proclaimed May 4th – 10th as Mental Health Week in the City of Vancouver. Mr. MacIntyre and Ms. Shields thanked the City of Vancouver for their support of this initiative and also for their ongoing support of efforts to raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental illness and to advocate for supportive housing for people living with mental illness.
